Bunad silver Rogaland gentleman

Rogaland gentleman

The gentleman's Bunad from Rogaland was launched as early as the 1920s. It is based on clothing from the beginning of the 1800s. It has been made several different variations of this Bunad, depending on who provides the Bunad. The breeches are most common, but one may also use long pants. The coat is special because of the pattern repeating itself on the vest, on the lower collar and on the pocket covers.

The silver: There are different sets of buttons for this Bunad. They may be engraved or with a filigree pattern. The same goes for shoe buckles, knee buckles, the knife button and the double neck pin. The coat has a double row of 6 buttons in front, 2 on each sleeve and 3 on each pocket cover. The vest has a double row of 6 buttons in front. For the breeches there are 3 buttons in the knee lining in addition to a knee buckle. The number of buttons in the waistline depends on the type of pants and the size. A knife, a timepiece and a chain should be included to make the whole set complete.
