Bunad silver Bergen lady

Bergen lady

This Bunad was constructed in 1956. The brooches are made with a healthy portion of self-irony and are inspired by umbrellas and raindrops, Bergen being known for their weather. One may find these elements again on the other silver, like on the eyelets used to lace the waistline with an eyelet chain. The motif may also be the dock, like it is on the belt plaques. A purse clasp is common, and one would need cufflinks. For the fairer model of the Bunad it is custom to use fair and gilded silver.
