Bunad silver Osterdal gentleman

Osterdal gentleman

The gentleman Bunad from Østerdal has collected much praise. Some parts are direct copies of old garments used in the mid 1800s. This lovely Bunad appeared in the beginning of the 1980s, and continue the costume customs of the area.

The silver: The silver on this Bunad is mainly made of brass although some oxidized silver is used. The breeches have buttons for suspenders and for fastening the waist. They have buttons for pockets and over the knee lining. The knee lining is held together with a clasp underneath the knee. The vest has a double row of twenty buttons. The coat has two rows of six slightly bigger buttons, and two more on each arm. For the shirt you have a simple neck button and cufflinks. There are shoe buckles for the black shoes.
