Askoy lady
In 1939, after a conference on Askoy (Askøy), the idea for them to have their own Bunad was launched.
The silver: A heart-brooch with cross leaves, a belt with silver belt plaques engraved with the aspen tree-pattern, much like Askoy's coat of arms. On the purse hanging from the waistline there is a silver clasp, and the waist itself is laced with an eyelet chain going through the eyelets. Normally, there will be 3 pairs of eyelets. The shawl is fixed with smaller brooches, one on each side. For the fairer model of the Bunad, fair and gilded silver is used.
