The common coat is made in red or green fulled woolen cloth with embroidered edges or laces. The most commonly used color on the vest is red, but it is made in other colors as well. There are both breeches and long pants for the Bunad.

The silver: The coat has a double row of 8 buttons in the front, 2 on each sleeve, 3 on each pocket and 2 rows of 3 buttons each in the back. The vest has a double row of 10 buttons. 3 buttons will be used in the knee lining of the breeches along with a buckle. The number of buttons in the waistline depends on the choice between pants or breeches. Buttons and buckles may be in silver or brass. A double neck button is worn on the shirt as well as cuff buttons in silver. A knife, a timepiece and a chain belongs with it all.
